What The Trading Signals Mean

This is an screenshot example of a snapshot of stock analysis on a particular sector.

8Stock System Picks shows a stock in 1 of 4 possible states at any point in time. They are either:

  1. 1) Entry  – signifies a buying opportunity represented by either the very first buy signal or a chance to accumulate further. So if you see this green triangle it means a buy signal. See Technical Chart below to visualize whether this is the very first buy signal or an accumulation buy.

    2) Exit – signifies a sell signal that can mean the first sell signal or a Further sell if you missed the first sell signal.

    3) Bearish  – this indicates counter is in its bearish phase with a downward bias

    4) Bullish   – this indicates counter is in its bullish phase with an upward bias

Trading Cycles - Short Term (Swing) Vs Long Term (Trend)

8Stock system picks provides 2 sets of stock analysis to cater for different type of investors or traders with different trading styles.

  1. Short Term Trading :- The time between opening a trade position is very much dependant on the how volatile the stock is. This set of analysis system optimizes the trading cycles for Swing Trading.

  2. Long Term Trading :- Typically caters and optimized for the buy and hold strategy. The trading cycles are relatively longer than the Short Term Trading.

Stock Trading Activties -
How the Signals Looks On A Technical Chart

The 8Stock System generates signals and is show in the chart below:-

See below for how to use the signal to open a Long or a Short trade position.

How To Trade The Long (Entry) Trading Cycle

The system will generate a list of stocks that satisfy the Entry (long) criteria. Opening a long position also depends on your other trade criteria's, depending on the type, the price and other factors of the stock that you prefer. Specifically, from the system standpoint,

after a Long Entry Signal on a BLUE bar (or ) has been generated the following price bar(s) can have one of the 3 possibilities:-

1) Price Bar continues to be BULLISH BLUE without any signals.

2) Price Bar continues to be BULLISH BLUE with a Accumulate Signal (). This signal let's your add to positions held.

3) Price Bar is RED with a Exit Entry Signal (or ). This calls for you to exit all positions. This can also be a Cut Loss signal.

How To Trade The Short (Exit) Trading Cycle

If Shorting trades is not available to your instruments, then these are the list to avoid. If you can place a Short order, then here's what the signals mean:-

After a Exit Position Signal on a RED bar (or ) has been generated the following price bar(s) can have one of the 3 possibilities:-

1) Price Bar continues to be BEARISH RED without any signals.

2) Price Bar continues to be BEARISH RED with a Add to Short Signal (). This signal let's your add to Short positions held.

3) Price Bar is BLUE with a Long Entry Signal (or ). This calls for you to exit all Short positions.
